Hello my friends. As the holidays approach, it's time to celebrate and cheer with a special spiked drink that I call Caramel Apple Cider Vodka Punch. I have been looking forward to the holiday season because I love the whole spirit of the season with traditional Christmas songs and colorful lights.
Video Instructions: Caramel Apple Cider Vodka Punch
When I first planned to make a seasonal drink with apple cider and caramel, I started to imagine being up north with the snow, and feeling cozy sipping a hot caramel apple cider in front of the fireplace. But then I realized that the whole idea was wrong for the drink recipe because I DO live in sunny Miami. The city was calling for a festive fall drink for 75-degree weather. So my inspiration comes from my experience of Geoffrey and I having a cocktail or fruit punch on Ocean Drive, sitting at one of the sidewalk restaurants where you just sit there watching people walking along. If you live or visited South Beach, you know what I'm talking about!!

If you haven't been to South Beach, put it on your bucket list of places that you want to visit. It's a fun place with beautiful beaches, unique hotels, cute and fit people, a melting pot of cultures, and wild nightlife (or at least it used to be - I haven't been out in ages.) Here in Miami, Geoffrey and I have many more places still to discover. Besides beaches and parties, you can find art too. Yes!! Here in Miami.
Instructions to make Caramel Apple Cider Vodka Punch
This punch sounds sweet, but it is not too sweet. This fruity, festive, and alcoholic beverage to celebrate the holidays - Hanukkah, Christmas and even New Year's - is easy to make and serves eight people. The vodka and the lemon juice cut the sweetness and balance the flavor.
- Get a large pitcher and add the apple cider, vodka, grenadine, lemon juice, and some sliced apple.
- Pour in some caramel sauce, mix and keep in the refrigerator until you are ready to serve.
If you prefer it without fruit, that’s fine. You can then call it a cocktail. But if you add the fruit, you can call it a punch. I melted the caramel for 10 seconds in the microwave for it to be able to dissolve better in the cold drink. Once you perfect making this punch, and try some of our other drinks & cocktails, you might even consider getting a bartending job in your spare time. It's great for meeting people and some extra cash.
The Caramel Apple Cider Vodka Punch recipe is perfect for your upcoming holiday party because it takes no time at all to prepare, and you can make several batches and keep it in the refrigerator. Set a space on the drink table with a large pitcher, a bucket of ice, and place the sliced apples in a fine glass bowl. This way you give the option to your guests to choose how they want the drink it – cocktail or punch.
Some people call this drink a Caramel Apple Cocktail or a Spiked Caramel Apple Cider. I think this drink deserves a more fun name, and I want “vodka” and “punch” to be in the name of this recipe.

wondering how this may taste with caramel vodka and no caramel sauce
Geoffrey Swetz
Hi Cheri. I've been meaning to try that, and your comment tells me now is the time :) I'm sure it would be wonderful. If you try it before me, let us know.
Jan
i will make this Saturday September 23rd 2023 for a b'day party...can I make this a day ahead (besides the apples)?
Geoffrey Swetz
Hi Jan. Is it your birthday? If so, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
Yes, you can make it the day before the party. If you make it on Friday, you probably can even include some apple slices. Apple are pretty hearty in that they don't break down as quickly as other fruits. Just make sure that you mix it well again just before the party in case it separates at all. Have a great party! Can you take and share some pictures?
Deanne
My mouth was literally watering as I read about your caramel apple cider punch. Come apple season this will be the first thing I make!
Geoffrey @ Spoonabilities
Wonderful Deanne! Great to hear. And, if your mouth was watering, then we are doing our job right ;)
Christina Meg
So excited to try making this for my party tomorrow, it looks delicious!! What fruit would you recommend in place of persimmons as they are a little harder to find where I live? Thanks!!
Geoffrey @ Spoonabilities
Hi Christina. Great to hear you are making this for your party tomorrow. Do let us know what you think - send pictures! Instead of persimmons you can use any seasonal fruit like another different type of apple on the juicy/sweet side, or even pear. It's okay to skip the permissions, or make the recipe your own unique hint of flavor with another fruit.

Hello :)
We just 'pre-tried' this recipe, because we're looking for a punch to serve at my birthday party on the weekend. It's lovely and something extraordinary, not only fitting into the Christmas season, but also into the colourful autumn we're just in!!!!
THIS will be the punch!
Thanks Carlos for the inspiration!

Thank you for your birthday wishes :)
The punch was great!!!!! Our guests loved it as well! We made a whole lot of it and it was almost gone by the end of the party.
If you tell me how, I will post a picture of the 'trial' - I think nobody took a photo of the punch - they all just dug into it ;)

Thank you so much for sharing Daniela! I'm so happy to hear that the punch was a success!!!
